Reach

Stills Reaches out in Rural Bridgend

Stills has been commissioned by Bridgend County Council to develop a brand proposition and identity for a Welsh Assembly funded scheme to support rural communities in Bridgend. The project included naming the programme, as well as the design of the identity and all supporting materials including brochures, leaflets, exhibition stands, stationery and a website.

David Lea, Creative Director at Stills said “Reach is a new and exciting programme which will provide valuable support to rural areas of Bridgend. We used our Brand Blueprint process to define the brand proposition and to develop a brand identity which represented the core values and ambitions of the scheme.

The identity itself is based on an old stone wall, which is not only a consistent element of the rural landscape, it is one which has great symbolism. Stone is synonymous with stability, endurance, fortitude and strength. The irregular stone which makes up the wall is of different shape and size, held together to create a strong structure of support, stability and protection. The wall represents the building process which Reach will undertake, working with the individuals and communities of rural Bridgend to reach higher, pull together and build a strong and secure future for the region.”
